(3/8/2003) Jackie Chan's Hollywood film AROUND
THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS reportedly months ago held an audition for
the lead actress. Joey Wong Cho Yin went to the try out but because
the role needs someone who is fluent in England and without a
gong fu background she is quite far from the character.
Big Brother still insisted on casting a Hong Kong
actress and finally picked Karen Morris (Mok Man Wai) and Marsha
Yuan Ji Wai.
Mok Man Wai so far has not been contacted. Her
manager said, "We always dine with Big Brother, but we don't
know if he will approach Karen with a role. So far we haven't
heard anything."
Marsha said, "I don't even have to audition.
The company just sent me a notice, so I don't know who the co-stars
will be. I only know he needed ten action people, I am the only
girl and the rest are all stunt people."
